History and Specifications:
Widely recognized as one of the best aircraft of its era, the Boeing 757 was a narrow-body, twin engine jetliner with an advanced “supercritical” wing design. Boasting an unusually high power to weight ratio and 200-240 passengers onboard, it was often called a “hot rod” of the skies. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW2037 turbofans, the aircraft can reach altitudes up to 42,000 ft and speeds over 570 mph, with an unrefueled range of 4,000 miles. Manufactured between 1982 and 2004, more than 1,000 were made, with over 600 still remaining in service.
