1 month agoDurability4 / 5Reliability4 / 5Performance4 / 5Ease Of Use3 / 5Value4 / 5Would You Recommend?YesDecent bag for decent priceOverall this bag is well designed. However, there a re a couple issues that you should be aware of... Inside the large compartment where the headphone goes there are four elastic loops which are designed to hold AA batteries. The elastic is sown in such a way that the loops are too large so the batteries simply fall out. The outside pocket for a handheld receiver probably holds Sporty's model, but the pocket is too small for others such as an iCOM. And finally the zippered outside pocket on the headphone storage side is pretty thin so not much can be put in it.
My bag holds a large headset, iPad mounted on kneeboard; logbook and credentials organizer case, flashlight, fuel tester, Stratux ADS-B, glasses case, with not much extra room.
My only real disappointment is the four useless battery loops.January 11, 2020Durability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesModern Pilot Flight BagThis bag is everything I wanted! It is small and compact, roughly the size of a child's backpack, but don't let that fool you! It is super roomy with tons of pockets and pouches and storage for everything you might need. And it can fit papers full size without creasing! For example, I currently have in my bag: a bose headset (with its carry case), an electronic flight computer, traditional E6B, sectionals, plotter, logbook, Pilot's Handbook of Arronautical Knowledge textbook, ipad, backup battery, charging cords and plugs, pens and pencils, a notebook, and a large water bottle and I still have plenty of room left! And I absolutely love the custom embroidery option, as it makes this the perfect gift for that special pilot in your life.January 3, 2020Purchased

It has room for everything I need while still being compact. Holds several charts, my iPad, kneeboard, headset, flashlight, battery pack for iPad, flight computer, multitool, an assortment of pens and pencils and logbook with room to spare. Layout is good and everything is easily accessible. feels to be made of good materials and the craftsmanship is good. Haven't had it in the plane yet, but based on initial impressions, I would recommend this bag.January 1, 2020Purchased

I use mine as a flight bag for hot air ballooning, so it holds radios, hats, small ropes and ties, pens, glasses, paperwork, log books, tools. It's a very sturdily made bag, absolutely no issues. Strong seams, a good handle and shoulder strap (which easily unhooks so I can strap the bag to a variety of locations).December 29, 2019Purchased

1 month agoDurability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value4 / 5Would You Recommend?YesLove This BagI've been using this bag for 6 months. After just getting a portable radio, I decided to take everything out and repack it. I thought I knew all the features and pockets but just found more! This is truly a squirrel's best friend. It has all kinds of ways to store things - my only concern is if I'll forget I even had some things now!
The bag is plenty big and very well made with durable fabric. Speaking of size, it does take up some space in my old Cherokee; a couple of these will basically fill one of the tiny rear seats, though that doesn't take much.
There's a pocket or pouch for everything in this bag. The iPad pocket is soft and has space for a unit with a case on. The only thing I might suggest changing is that there is room at the top in the large compartment where the headset goes. I may mess around and find a way to make use of that space; it would be great to have a removable divider of some kind, or things can be put in the bottom under the headset.
You can tell that a lot of thought when into designing this bag. Highly recommended!December 27, 2019

Will this fill the bill?BEST ANSWER: Absolutely! I fit my iPad with knee board, plus a back up knee board with pad of paper, just in the iPad pocket. I keep my Bose A20 headset, powered adapter for it, and an extra hat in the main pocket; however, I have plenty of extra room for random things. It’s quick a bulky kneepad when the iPad is in it.BEST ANSWER: Hi Austin. Yes, it should. I'm a CFI, and needed a bag to that was more compact than my "big" Brightline bag, yet could hold everything I needed to haul around from one flight lesson to the next: iPad in its kneeboard/case, Stratus 2S, headset, flashlights, water bottle, and various cables. I've had the Flight Gear HP iPad Bag for 2 years now, and it was been the perfect size for me. Also, it has held-up very well, and still looks new! To your question, I'm not familiar with the Flight Gear HP iPad Kneepad specifically, however I do keep my iPad (standard size) in a MyGoFlight Folio Leather Kneeboard Lapdesk. That kneeboard also contains a separate clipboard for paper notepads, etc. That whole thing, including the iPad itself, is VERY bulky, and I was afraid it wouldn't fit in the Flight Gear HP iPad Bag. But as it turns out, it fits just fine, and I can also paperwork, etc. in the same bag pocket! So overall, I've been very pleased with the bag: it fits all my essentials including the iPad+ bulky kneeboard, and still looks new after 2 years of regular CFI use. Way more value than I expected at that price point. Fred S.Can bag fit in between Cessna 172 RG seats ?BEST ANSWER: ‘M a CFII and fly in a variety of planes. The IPad bag has fit nicely in most models. I put it between in the rear floor of my Warrior just behind the seat in frontal profile and it is easy to access. In Cessnas I can place it between the seats in side profile (with the headset and IPad already out) since the trim on the lower panel instead of between the seats as in Piper models. In smaller planes, I lay the bag on the seat aft of the student, and there it is also pretty easy to access. From the right seat. In all cases, it is easier to access than any larger gear bag and you can put just about anything you may need in this bag. It’s capacity is deceptively larger than it looks. In the Cutless, I have never used it, but I will on a ferry flight in about a week. How is the "Cirrus" Silhouette?
