Bought to connect my Headset for my flightsim
I bought this to connect my headset to my flight sim. I had no problem connecting the headset to my PC. The only aspect that I had to resolve was how to get the PTT button to work and discovered that I had to hook up my external PTT button and push the one on my Saitek Yoke at the same time I pushed my PTT button. Other than that issue it has performed excellently.

Excellent product.
The unit is well made and works well as advertised. It plugs into the headset jack of the computer and operates with no issues. It does require a standard nine volt battery.

General Aviation Headsets to PC Adapter
I couldn't be any happier with this adapter. My David Clark's have been stored away for over 10 years since I don't fly anymore, and I'm happy to be able to use them again while flying in the Pilot Edge environment.

Great Product!
Works like a charm. I wish it had an on/off button, but it’s not the end of the world.

Good product
It works like a champ. The price is a bit high for what it is. But if you want to use and/or test any headsets on a computer, this does the trick. it's built very solid and seems to be quite durable. Overall, I rate this with 5 stars.

Handles the microphone impedance issue but does not pass stereo audio
This unit handles the impedance and power issues needed to adapt an aviation headset mic to a PC audio circuit. It does this task perfectly. However, it only passes mono audio to the headphones. If you have a stereo aviation headset, and wish to use it with Prepar3d or X-plane, the audio will only be in mono. I was able to get around this by purchasing a 1/4" stereo female to stereo 1/8" male plug and insterting the headphone cable into the PC directly - by passing the adapter.

Works really well.
I was skeptical, but this work really well. My only complaint is that it requires a 9v battery to work and honestly, they should have designed this with an external power source (who sits at their PC without a power source available) Redesign this to function in the environment it was meant for (at home, at a PC) and I'll give it full 5 stars

How long does the battery last?
James N on Sep 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I accidentally left a Bose A20 w/Bluetooth connected and the brand new 9v battery was dead the next day. Now I make sure to unplug the headset when I am finished using it. I think only the microphone is reliant on the battery because I could hear fine but the mic wouldn’t work properly.
One review seems to indicate there is no sidetone capability (can't hear yourself speaking) with this unit. Is this true, and if so, if there some way to make it do so?
A shopper on Nov 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: There is no sidetone. I have mine connected to a computer. This may change depending on the software you use.
Has this been tested with the FRAPS recording software?
Clayviation on Aug 22, 2016
Would I also need the u-174 to sp400 plug to make this work in a computer?
Typolk on Dec 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: To use both the hearing and mic you would need the adapter. The adapter plugs into the headset side of the PC adapter and the then it connects to the sound/mic on the PC.
What is the use of the box beetwen the headset and the pc. Why there is abattery.?
Sylvain L on Apr 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This answer is incomplete - the adapter box is needed to amplify the audio to the headset - the computer sound boards do not generally provide enough power output for volume control so the box with the battery provides this boost.
Does the microphone jack have the PTT line brought into the box?
A shopper on Apr 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It does not have a PTT.
This doesn't have an on off switch. Will it run the battery down to leave the battery in it when not in use?
Chuck on Feb 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It should not.
Does the ANR work on my headset while it is plugged into the computer?
John P on Feb 19, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the ANR should work with it is plugged into the computer.
Do you have a similar adaptor for modern computer with a single audio socket?
A shopper on Jan 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: We do not have a single socket adaptor for the pc.
I have a com #1 radio program simulator on my lap top. Normally I'd have to push cursor to respond to sim commands. Would installing a ptt switch between the box and headset work?
Robert W on May 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Not really. This box does not have any data connection to the computer. Not possible unless you run a USB arduino or something between the computer and your headset.
What do I need to use this with a MacBook Pro and/or iPhone Lightning connector? Thank you.
IMRAN on Mar 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The connector will work with a standard sound card that accepts input from devices. We do not have a connector that will work the iPhone lightning connector.
Hi. With this device, i can connect my A20 Bose in my computar to use with XPLANE 10 ? Thank you.
Ueliton on Dec 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, as long as you have the standard twin plug A20.
No specs found anywhere on this product. Not even the female jack size?
Moving on.
A shopper on Dec 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The jacks that the headset plugs into are the same as in and aircraft. The jacks that plug into the computer are 3.5 mm connectors.

I cannot figure out how to make my mic work on my computer, I can hear through my headset just fine, it's just the mic isn't picking up with my Bose A20. Does anyone have any advice or directions?
