History and Specifications:
Adapted from Bombardier’s CS300 design, Airbus’ A220 line was designed to fill the 150-seat medium-range space. Comfortable and versatile, customers are treated to an exceptional passenger experience. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney 1500G engines, A220-300 aircraft can fly more than 4,100 miles non-stop at over 620mph. Part of Qantas’ Flying Art Series, VH-X4A’s exterior took weeks to complete. Guided by artist Maringka Baker, dozens of painters and more than one hundred stencils were utilized to create the stunning design. Named “Minyma Hutjara Tjuhuapa” and delivered in December of 2023, it has officially entered service as of March 1st, 2024.
