The Sabre line of tug-type aircraft towbars features an innovative design that allows a single operator to connect to an aircraft quickly and safely. Using the patented Derringer slide-and-latch mechanism, Sabre towbars make aircraft hookup fast, precise, and reliable—one of the many reasons they’ve been a favorite among FBOs for years.

Built to fit a wide range of aircraft, each Sabre towbar includes multiple attach fittings to accommodate virtually any nose-gear tow point. Quick-change Specialty Aircraft Nose Gear Adaptors make it easy to switch between aircraft, and the heavy-duty construction is rated for loads up to 10,000 lbs. Towbars are available with a tow ring, ball-hitch mount, or clevis-style connection to match your tug.

Effortless Operation

Using the Sabre towbar is simple: position the tug near the aircraft, slide the telescoping hitch to the tug’s attach point, and secure it. As the tug moves toward the aircraft, the slide-and-latch mechanism automatically engages the nose gear, making hookup nearly effortless.

Universal Nose Gear Adaptors

Sabre’s universal adaptors feature a plunger-style design that works with a wide variety of aircraft.

• The center plunger includes a machined hole ideal for Beechcraft tow pins.

• Retractable plungers accommodate ⅝" nose gear lugs found on Cessna aircraft (150’s to 421’s)

• A tapered attach lug provides compatibility with diverse axle designs and internal tow points, including Mooney trunnions.
