Sporty’s X-Plane 12 VFR Scenarios

Ever watched an aircraft fly a maneuver and wish you could practice it? The X-Plane Scenarios from Sporty’s Pilot Shop give you the ability to watch a representation of how a maneuver is flown and go fly that maneuver in a preprogrammed situation. Practice a Short-Field Takeoff and Climb starting halfway down the runway with a 50’ obstacle. Get a better understanding of how to tune and identify a VOR, then fly the inbound radial. Practice a Go-Around when a fuel truck drives onto the runway as your preparing to touchdown. Each of the 26 scenarios begin with briefing, description of the maneuver, and expectations. Hardware control settings are relayed and then you jump in the digital aircraft to fly the maneuver.

Each maneuver includes:
• A briefing of what flight parameters (airspeed, altitude, etc.) are required to Pass the maneuver.
• Slides showing the different phases of the maneuver in order
• A clickable link that connects you to a video of the maneuver within Sporty’s Learn to Fly Course*
• Final explanation of where the flight starts and when it’s considered complete

Compatible Software – Scenarios are loaded directly from your simulator, so it requires X-Plane to be installed and open on your computer.

Update – We recently updated the program to work with Macintosh computers using the M1 and M2 chips. If you have the previous version and are running into issues getting the add-on working contact flightsim@sportys.com for the updated version. .
