United Airlines Boeing 777-200 Battleship Die-Cast Model

This 777-200 flew for more than 30 years.

First production 777-200 ever built, N777UA was delivered to United Airlines on May 15th, 1995. Nicknamed “Ship of the Future” and decorated with the “Battleship Gray” paint scheme, N777UA completed its first revenue generating flight on June 7th, 1995. An impressive aircraft with an undeniable legacy at United, N777UA was decorated with three different liveries and accumulated more than 110,000 flight hours in 30 years of service. Not yet officially retired, the aircraft is currently located at the Victorville SLCA “Boneyard” in Southern California. Flown there on November 29th, 2025, the aircraft remains in storage with further details still unknown.

History and Specifications:
Introduced in 1995 with fly-by-wire controls and an Electronic Flight Information System (EFIS) in the cockpit, Boeing’s 777-200 is one of the largest modern airliners in the world. Designed to carry 375 passengers in 9-abreast configuration, it directly competes with the Airbus A350-900 and successor Boeing 787-9 in the long-range airliner market. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW4000, Rolls-Royce Trent 800, or General Electric GE90 engines, the aircraft boasts 6,000 miles of range and a top speed of 645 mph. Produced from 1993 to 2007 in Everett, Washington, 88 examples of the 777-200 have been manufactured. Largely replaced by newer 777-300ER and 777X aircraft, the 777-200 remains in service with just a few select airlines.
