Standing the test of time for 70 years, the C-130 is now the longest continually produced military aircraft. With over 2,500 manufactured, the type has served in over 60 nations across the globe, with both civilian and military duties. Die-Cast version has an accurate paint scheme, etched panel lines, pad-printed decals, and detailed landing gear. Also includes an opening rear cargo door, spinning propellers, and metal display stand to show the model in flight. Measures 6”l with a 8” wingspan at 1:200 scale.

History and Specifications:
Operated by a crew of 5 onboard, this medium sized aircraft has a length of 97 ft and 132 ft wingspan. Powered by four of the Allison T56-A-15 turboprop engines, the C-130 can reach speeds of 370mph, altitude over 33,000 ft, and range up to 2,300 miles. Maximum payload is 42,000 lbs, or capacity for 92 passengers, 3 Humvees, 64 troops, or 6 pallets of supplies. Maximum takeoff weight is 155,000 lbs and takeoff distance is completed in just under 3,600 ft at full load. Contrast to this, with no payload onboard the C-130 can leave the ground in just 1,400 ft! Assigned to the 910th Airlift Wing, this C-130H is part of the Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Vienna, Ohio. Stationed here, the base is the only large-area disease control force that operates fixed-wing aircraft. In the event of hazardous creatures, oil, vegetation, or similar, the 910th is capable of neutralizing over 5000 acres of land with EPA approved product.
