A static wick is a critical component used on aircraft to dissipate static electricity and reduce the risk of lightning strikes or static discharges that can damage sensitive electronic equipment or interfere with communication and navigation systems. These devices are designed to safely conduct electrical charges away from the aircraft. These Wick-Tector’s® are designed to protect these important and sometimes expensive instruments by covering the wicks by marking the wings to point out their location. A nice red “Remove Before Flight” flag is attached to help bring it to the eye, so they are not hit accidently, and they are a nice reminder to remove them prior to takeoff. These coverings are non-temperature sensitive and crack resistant vinyl tubes. Fits Dayton-Granger P/N 16920. Measures 6” long”.
