On October 14th, 1997, Brig. Gen. Charles E. “Chuck” Yeager flew a McDonnell Douglas F-15D at Mach 1.35, commemorating the 50th anniversary of his being the first man to fly faster than the speed of sound on October 14th, 1947 in the Bell X-1.

The flight was also Gen. Yeager’s last military flight, ending 55 years and one month in Air Force cockpits. This 24”h x 30”w Print has been signed by the late Chuck Yeager and the artist Roy Grinnell who has also flown West. Limited edition, each Print comes numbered and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
