Inside it easily allows me to carry my study binder, PHAK, ACS, FAR/AIM, backup battery brick, and my iPad. Even with all of that packed in, I can still find room to put a headset and E6B flight computer thanks to the dedicated compartments that keep everything neat and easy to access.
