1. Watch
You’ll start by watching a short briefing video that puts you in the pilot’s seat for a tricky decision. Sometimes the challenge is changing weather, sometimes it’s an equipment failure, and sometimes it’s something completely unexpected.
2. Think
Each scenario ends with several options and complete resources to learn about the weather, the airplane, and the airports. Review all the information and consider how you would react. Often there is no one right answer, so you’re forced to think hard about how you make decisions.
3. Choose
Make your choice for the option you think is best by voting in the community survey. After voting, you can see how your decision compares to other pilots in the Pilot Workshops community.
4. Learn
Once you’ve made your decision, you can watch the expert response. Here, an experienced instructor will share their choice and the reasons why. These videos are a great way to understand how other pilots make decisions, and are packed with real world tips to make you a better pilot. Even if you disagree with the instructor’s choice, you’re sure to learn something new.
5. Listen
Now it’s time to see what the whole team thinks. Listen in as a panel of expert flight instructors debate each option and explain how they would approach the situation. The panel doesn’t always agree—and that’s the fun part!
6. Discuss
After going through the scenario and hearing from the experts, you can visit the members-only discussion forum to continue the conversation with other pilots like you. Share your tips, opinions, and personal stories.
