Otherwise, this has been great for timing fuel tank switches. The beep is loud enough to hear over the engine/headset and the red led is there to alert as well.March 3, 2020Purchased

It has no on/off switch. The previous timer Sporty's sold was much, much better. Then they switched. Why? Cheaper to purchase? Maybe but it's also not a good timer at all.January 20, 2020Purchased
over 2 years agoDurability5 / 5Reliability5 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value5 / 5Would You Recommend?YesWorks great. This timer works great for instrument flight, and has worked flawlessly through about 45 hours of intensive instrument training, with multiple approaches every flight. I initially tried using the rear clip to attach it in a vacant instrument hole in my panel face, which didn't work well. Then I attached it with Velcro to the top center of the panel where it's right in the middle of the six-pack, and that has worked out extremely well. I haven't had to replace the battery yet.December 2, 2019Purchased
1 year agoValue1 / 5Would You Recommend?NoI have a Beechcraft Debonair. Purchased the timer and mounted it on the yoke. Sunlight was hitting on the face of the timer to some extent. Numbers were difficlut to read. I am going to try and find a different timer. Should have made a photograpy of the face of the timer while flying. I will next time I fly. I use it to switch tanks and really loved the idea of the red flashing light. I have purchased two units over the last two years and the red light has failed on both units. So if you are buying for the flashing light forget it. It’s close to being really good but the clip and failed light need to be fixed.July 17, 2019Durability4 / 5Reliability4 / 5Performance5 / 5Ease Of Use5 / 5Value3 / 5Would You Recommend?YesGood timer. Does what I need.I really like the timer. Simple to use. The screen is large and very readable. The alarm can be heard through my ANR headset and the flashing light catches the eye. Like others have said I would prefer not to have the clip on the back. I broke it off so the back would be flat and then used velcro to attach it to my panel.July 9, 2019Purchased
