Protection and organization for Starlink Mini and essential pilot gear
As Starlink Mini becomes an increasingly popular connectivity option for general aviation pilots, Sporty’s has introduced a new backpack that is designed specifically to protect the compact satellite terminal while keeping the rest of a pilot's essential gear organized.
The Flight Gear Starlink Mini Backpack combines a custom protective compartment for Starlink Mini with dedicated storage for headsets, tablets, radios, cables, chargers, and other cockpit accessories. The result is a single bag designed to make transporting and using Starlink Mini safer and more convenient for pilots.
"Starlink Mini has opened up a whole new level of connectivity for general aviation, but it also created a practical problem for pilots: how do you carry and protect the hardware along with everything else you already take to the airplane?" said Sporty’s Vice President and Aviation Brand Leader, Doug Ranly. "We designed this backpack specifically around that problem, giving pilots a dedicated place for Starlink Mini without giving up the organization they need for the rest of their flight gear."
At the center of the backpack is a custom EVA-molded compartment that securely stores and protects Starlink Mini. A dedicated top compartment provides space for the Starlink cables, power supply, and other small electronics, while additional organizer pockets make it easy to keep chargers, adapters, and accessories close at hand.
This backpack also is designed around the needs of pilots beyond Starlink. A dedicated headset hanger keeps a headset suspended and protected, while a padded pocket accommodates an iPad or laptop. Two exterior side pockets provide convenient storage for a water bottle, handheld radio, or backup battery pack.
An internal gear wall, with removable gear mods, allows pilots to customize the backpack's storage layout for flight gear, tools, and other equipment. Four exterior webbing loops provide Additional features include a high-visibility interior, hidden E-Tracker pocket; padded and breathable back panel; padded backpack straps; heavy-duty top handle; and a roller strap that slides over the handle of rolling luggage. A water-resistant bottom with custom cleats helps protect the contents when the backpack is placed on wet ramps or hangar floors.
The Flight Gear Starlink Mini Backpack is available for just $89.95 at Sportys.com.
