It put me directly in the left seat, and if I’m honest it gave me that feeling of “I’ve been here before” so it felt even more realistic. I could then review additional resources like charts, sections of the relevant aircraft manual, and weather reports right there on the screen.
After digesting the briefing material, the video hit me with a critical decision point: “What do you do now?” I reviewed the five core choices, cast my vote, and instantly saw how my decision stacked up against fellow pilots (as usual, there was no clear winner).
To wrap up the morning session, I watched the featured response video, where an expert instructor broke down why they chose one particular option and explained their decision-making process. I don’t always agree with the expert’s choice, but I always learn something from hearing them work through the problem.
8:00 am – The commute and the Roundtable (iPhone & CarPlay)

Thanks to the app's native download and background audio features, I didn’t even need to burn cellular data or keep my screen awake. I just tapped play and drove to work. It’s like having a great aviation podcast in my pocket, but with plenty of extra features.
In many modern cars, you can even access this directly through Apple CarPlay, making it as seamless as switching to Spotify or Apple Music. Listening to top-tier pros debate the nuances of a missed approach or a fuel emergency while navigating the morning commute turns otherwise wasted time into premium aviation education, and it’s all included.
8:00 pm – Debriefing in the Hangar (Laptop)
The day wraps up back home, on the couch. After dinner, I logged into the Pilot Training online portal on my laptop to visit The Hangar. This is the exclusive online community forum built directly into the Mastery program.
Here, the discussion truly expands and the learning becomes interactive. There are hundreds of pilots actively dissecting that month's scenario, arguing points of law, sharing personal anecdotes of similar situations, and asking deep "what-if" questions. Often, the PilotWorkshops instructors themselves chime in to share their opinions and tips. It provides a digital hangar-flying experience that connects me with safety-minded pilots across the globe, cementing everything I learned throughout the day.
